Objection under the Federal Registration Act (Bundesmeldegesetz)

According to the regulations of the Federal Registration Act, the Municipality of Pirna is allowed to pass on data from the registration register to certain bodies in special cases. Every citizen has the option to object to this disclosure.

The objection does not have to be justified and is valid until revoked or ends with the departure of the person concerned from the municipality.

The registration office may transmit personal data from the civil register in the following special cases:

To parties, voter groups and other sponsors of election proposals

To parties, voter groups and other sponsors of election proposals in connection with elections and votes in the six months prior to the election date:

  • Last name
  • First names
  • Doctoral degree
  • Current addresses


This data may only be used for advertising an election or vote and must be deleted no later than one month after the election or vote.

To elected officials, the press or radio concerning special birthdays and anniversaries

In addition, the following data may be transmitted to elected officials, the press or radio with regard to special birthdays and anniversaries

  • Last name
  • First names
  • Doctoral degree
  • Address
  • Date and type of birthday/anniversary


Special birthdays are the 70th birthday, every fifth subsequent birthday, and every subsequent birthday after the 100th birthday. Special anniversaries are the 50th and each subsequent anniversary.

To directory publishers

In addition, the Municipality may provide directory publishers with the following information on all residents who have reached the age of 18.

  • Last name
  • First names
  • Doctoral degree
  • Current addresses


However, this data may only be used for the publication of address books.

Members of a religious society under public law

If members of a religious society under public law have family members who do not belong to the same or any religious society under public law, the registration authority may transmit the following data from these family members:

  • First and last name
  • Date and place of birth
  • Gender
  • Membership of a religious society under public law
  • Current addresses and the last previous address
  • Blocks on information pursuant to Section 51 and conditional blocking notices pursuant to Section 52 BMG (Federal Registration Act)
  • Date of death


Family members are the spouse or civil partner, minor children and the parents of minor children.
